I almost wonder if Yang will even feel anything around the guy since he is "incapable" of feeling emotions, lol XP

Haha, I feel like he's capable of feeling annoyance! He gets so petty in Gilbert's route. :D

This actually does make me worry though, I would not be surprised if he took out his anger on Liliana the way he does in the after-story. Because, sigh, Yang. :P

You're right, Rui is cute! And so bored-looking. :P It's absolutely interesting how much variation in Amoral And Scary the Liu Huang Hui are providing.

I'm really excited for the fandisc as well! We got the CxM and Code Realize translations, so hopefully next year...?

Have you seen the teasers? If not, they're over on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCh1VG9d99ljJBa0pTHFCfLw

She even had such a sad moment when she felt that Gekkamaru's feelings for her was fabricated/a lie because of the spoiler. That his feelings weren't really real, and that hit me so hard ;_; I also cried when she was saying how she would free him and hopes that he doesn't hate her afterward for what she put him through T_T

Yes! :D There was a particular CG for that set of scenes (I think you can probably guess which one) that hit me hard.

Yes! Orlok's route was so good 'cause I loved the whole struggle he went through and how he became more human for Liliana ;.; Not to mention he was just so innocent and kind, and to go through such a conflict made me love him a lot.

Yes! He, Gilbert, and Nicola are the characters I'm most excited for in the fandisc, based on the teasers.

Not to mention he's got that white/light purple hair, so I was totally sold on his character X'D

...okay, I'm sold! The game is actually on sale on the Switch right now, so I might pick it up.... :O

I actually missed much of it myself when I played through it the first few times since much of what they talk about and say is untranslatable in English.

Oh, I'm curious! What pinged you as untranslatable?

A lot of what I noticed was that Hakouki seems to be playing with...history, and the perception of history, and how to conceive of honor -- which feels like a conversation that requires a lot of footnotes. And probably other things I completely missed. But even without all of that, the themes on honor and duty and sacrifice and change still resonate; it is such a beautiful game.

[personal profile] alias_sqbr has some excellent recaps/reviews for Hakuouki as well, in case you haven't seen them.
